Ross von Seggern AKA “Doctor Rock”

Doctor Rock is a Native Austinite. He is a multimedia and tattoo artist who specializes black and gray style tattoos, but is proficient in all styles and custom work. As a businessman, humanitarian, and philanthropist, Ross has always been first class. Background also includes engineering and industrial experience, which he uses to build the best tattoo machines on the market.

Ross has been clean and sober for over 20 years and has mentored countless individuals in their recovery from substance abuse. In 2017, Ross married tattoo icon Shanghai Kate Hellenbrand, the Godmother of American tattooing. Ross curates the Shanghai Kate Museum and Archive inside of Doctor Rock Tattoo, and is currently working on a book history of the industry.
